Rhode Island rallied after being down 21-0, tallying a late 4th quarter touchdown which cut it to 27-21. Bob Bentsen entered the game in the 3rd quarter after starting QB Steve Probst exited with an injury. The sophomore from Warwick, R.I. was 11-for-17 for 158 yards and two touchdowns.
