Southern Utah had back to back winning seasons for the first time in more than a decade and four individuals on this year's 6-5 team were named winners of major individual awards in the balloting of Great West coaches. Quarterback Brad Sorensen was named Offensive Player of the Year, defensive lineman Tyler Osborne Defensive Player of the Year, return specialist Austin Minefee Special Teams Player of the Year and wide receiver Brady Measom Rookie of the Year. The coach of the year award went to North Dakota's Chris Mussman.
