At this time next year, Rick Comegy’s contract as the Jackson State football coach would end in about a month.
The 57-year-old Comegy, who just finished his fifth season with the Tigers, is heading into the last year of his contract.
Comegy said this week that he has not had discussions about his contract with anyone from Jackson State, but the coach would certainly welcome an extension.
“Sure I would,” he said when asked. “It would be an honor.”
