These past two years have been rocky for me. Serious illness to other dire circumstances have interrupted my full attention from the CSN empire. Now I have to bite the bullet and just step back for a while.
CSN is blessed with some great organizational minds that make my undetermined length of leave a little easier for me. I'll be around doing small bits here and there but CSN continues on in good hands.

Finalized this week was the continued inclusion of the Gridiron Power Index (GPI) in the NCAA Division I playoff selection process. 2010 playoff selection for the highest level of NCAA championship football will once again have a provision for a "bridge" automatic qualification.

I'll repeat something that I always feel about the first couple weeks of the FCS, they are my least favorite.
It's not because the teams are rusty, not because the newer coaches are still refining their systems, and not because it's difficult keeping up with all the new players and missing the matriculated stars. No, it is because there are too many mismatches in the form of money games and cupcakes for our FCS.
