CEDAR FALLS, IA--I am in Panther country today for the game between the Sycamores (4-1, 2-0 MVFC) and Panthers (3-1, 2-0 MVFC). It is homecoming here in Cedar Falls and are expecting a near sell-out in the UNI-Dome.
Both teams are ranked and this should be a good contest. Indiana State has not between Northern Iowa since 2002 but this year's team likely is the best since that season for Coach Trent Miles.
Coach Mark Farley's Panthers are a point away from being
I am using our GPI to determine the teams (selected teams in orange) and believe this is a pretty good group based on if the season would end today. Remember there are 10 automatic qualifiers (listed with the projected Conf. champion in my list) and 10 at-large teams (listed as At-Large 1, 2, ect) that make the Division I playoffs.
Here are my selections and how I see the teams playing each other somewhat based on regionality as we know that the playoff committee will look to place

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--I am at the new University of Minnesota TCF Bank Stadium. One note is that the press box is in the far east end zone so it offers a unique siteline.
This game between the Bison and the Gophers is one that Minnesota is looking for revenge after NDSU upset the Gophers in 2007 27-21. Minnesota won the 2006 contest by blocking a field goal attempt as time expired 10-9.
NDSU is 4-3 since moving up to the Division I ranks against FBS teams, including
COLUMBIA, MO--I am in the Show-Me-State for this FCS-FBS battle between the Leathernecks and Tigers.
The game has started and WIU went three and out on their opening position and Missouri went four plays and their quarterback James Franklin went deep on a 4th and 3 play to wide out Wes Kemp to put the Tigers up 7-0 at the 11:32 mark of the 1st qtr.
WIU got a good kickoff return out to their own 45 yard line but went three and out again.
VERMILLION, S.D.--Today, I witnessed the defending national champions Eagles play South Dakota. I got to take my two sons to the game and we got to see an upset on the DakotaDome astroturf.
USd QB Dante Warren had a rushing and passing touchdown and kicker Kevin Robb had three field goals as the Coyotes upset the Eagles 30-17.
The Coyotes took a 21-0 lead in the second quarter before EWU finally scored. Warren scored on a 2-yard run and threw a 48-yard touchdown
