CSN West

Having covered a couple of Western Illinois games in the past, I got to know Coach Don Patterson, at least a little bit. Coach Patterson definitely deserved better than he received. IMO I weighed in on a column on him last year after he began his recovery from cancer.

Joining the blog world here at CSN. As most regular CSN readers now, I am the columnist for the West region of the FCS--the Big Sky, Great West, Missouri Valley, and Pioneer Football League.

I have been covering FCS football for the past six years or so. As most of fans, I believe this is the best level of play and has the best system of the playoffs of determining our champion.
