Canada losses a couple yards on the 1st down play. Johnson hits Taylor to set up a 3rd & 6 from the 38. Moutra catches the pass to move the chains to the 46. Johnson takes the next carry 54 on a fake handoff all the way for the touchdown. PAT is good. We are looking for a fantastic finish. Montana gets to within 3. SHSU 31 Montana 28 with 11:26 left in the game.
The Griz get out to the 29 but face a 3rd & 1 from there. Canada gets the carry for the 1st down to the Griz 34.
The 3rd down play is caught by Wilson but gets just to the Griz 41. SHSU will act like they are going for it but Bell punts it. The kick goes into the end zone for a touchback. 1st & 10 at the 20 for Montana with 14:07 left in the game.
A wildcat keeper by Sincere for one and a give to Wilson for two will set up a 3rd and 7 from the Montana 43. That play will be the first play when we start the 4th qtr. After three periods, SHSU leads 31 - 21 over Montana.
Flanders gets two carries and results in another first down for the Bearkats. SHSU is into Montana territory at their 46.
After no gain on first down on the run, Bell hits TE J.D. Standley for the first down on 2nd down to the SHSU 42.
The Griz kickoff is returned to their own 30 by Blanton.
Johnson gets three on a qb scramble on first down to the SHSU 25. Jordan Canada get four on swing pass. 3rd & 3 and Johnson hits Cam Warren for the first down at the 8. Canada gets the carry on 1st & goal to the 3. 2nd and goal yield a three yard touchdown run by Canada for the Griz. PAT is good. Montana pulls to within 10. SHSU 31 Montana 21 with 3:36 left in the 34d qtr.
Montana has it now at 3rd & 5 and Johnson hits Gratton to get the first down at the SHSU 28.

The Bearkat kickoff is returned by the Griz to their own 34 but there is a flag on the play. SHSU was offsides on the kickoff and Montana will get five added to the end of the return.
Flanders gets five on 1st down but is upended on 2nd down in the backfield at the 10 by Houston Roots. 3rd & goal and Bell gets just three. It will be 4th and goal from the 7. The 25 yard field goal attempt by Craig Alaniz with 6:58 left in the 3rd qtr is good. SHSU 31 Montana 14
The Griz fumble the exchange and SHSU picks up the loose ball. The Bearkats will have it 1st & goal at the 8.
Montana's defense has stepped it up thus far in the 2nd half. We will see if their offense can step it up also this 2nd possession.
Sincere gets four on the keeper on 1st down but Flanders is stopped behind the line for a four yard loss. 3rd & 10 from the 41. Williams gets just three on a quick pass play and SHSU will punt. Sambrano for the Griz gets nothing on the punt return. Montana will start this drive at their own 13. We have 9:17 left in this game with SHSU still holding a 14 point lead at 28-14.
Nyugen gets nothing and then Johnson throws it poorly on 2nd down. Johnson is sacked on 3rd down at the 40. The Griz punt is returned to the SHSU 36 but there is a flag on the play. Montana has an illegal formation and will be added on the punt return. The Bearkats will start at their own 41.
Flanders for five up the middle and then Sincere lost a yard on the wildcat keeper. 3rd & 6 and Bell is forced to scramble and doesn't get the first on a gain on just three. 4th & 3 and Montana will get the punt and it not very good. It is downed at the Montana 44.
The Griz kick is returned all the way for the touchdown by Keith Blanton but there is a flag on the play. Holding on SHSU. The Bearkats will start the drive after the penalty at their own 22.
SHSU will get the opening kick when we start the 2nd half.
Flanders gets another 13 but that is the end of the half. Our halftime score is SHSU 28 Montana 14.
