IOWA CITY, Iowa--I am in Kinnick Stadium today to see if UNI can do a little better against their second Big 10 game of the year. Remember, UNI narrowly lost to Wisconsin two weeks ago 26-21 and had a chance with the ball late to take the lead. Last week, the Panthers had little opposition when they played their first home game of the year against DII Central (OH) State--winning 59-0. It was just three years ago when UNI almost beat the Hawkeyes when they had two ...
I went Des Moines last night with my two sons to watch Rob Ash's Montana State team trip to Des Moines, to play his former team in Drake. Ash coached Drake for 18 years before going to Bozeman five years ago. MADISON, Wis--I am in Madison today to see if Northern Iowa can pull off the upset against the Badgers. It is a nice day in central Wisconsin with temps right now in the upper 70s. Wisconsin is ranked #12 in both of the FBS polls. UNI is ranked #9 in the College Sporting News and Sports Network Polls within the preseason. Coach Mark Farley is entering his 12th season as the head man for UNI and has won from the start--winning 60 of his 80 contests. ...
FRISCO, TX--I am in the pressbox getting ready for the game between the Bison and Bearkats. I will have to admit that the pressbox is not quite as nice as the rest of the stadium but it is better than some that I have been to. The weather right now is cloudy with temperatures in the upper 40s. It is expected to clear off by kickoff. Like in the my preview, I think turnovers will be the key to game with the winner likely winning this area. Special teams is another ...
