Just starting the blog. I will try to get some FCS West team info here in the off-season and some possible national news that pertains to any or all of the CSN West teams.
Here is my take on the playoff field this week. We are starting to see some teams and possibily some teams that will be find their way out of the race as they won't be able to get to the 7 win total. In any event, here is my take for this week as all teams selected could still get to the 7-win total or win their league. 10/24/2011 GPI Top 25 Rank, School, Rating, Change 1. Ga Southern (1.00) -0 SoCon #1 2. N Dakota St (2.43) +1 MVFC ...

Here are my projections this week for the 20 FCS playoff participants. One team that was ranked in the bottom in Appalachian State I think will out bid anyone and get a home game in the second round. Like the prior list last week, I tried to pair with geography in mind but there are a few schools that really have no one close. I know that the second round can have some conference teams play each other but I choose to try to avoid these. 10/10/2011 GPI Top 25 ...

CEDAR FALLS, IA--I am in Panther country today for the game between the Sycamores (4-1, 2-0 MVFC) and Panthers (3-1, 2-0 MVFC). It is homecoming here in Cedar Falls and are expecting a near sell-out in the UNI-Dome. Both teams are ranked and this should be a good contest. Indiana State has not between Northern Iowa since 2002 but this year's team likely is the best since that season for Coach Trent Miles. Coach Mark Farley's Panthers are a point away from being ...
I am using our GPI to determine the teams (selected teams in orange) and believe this is a pretty good group based on if the season would end today. Remember there are 10 automatic qualifiers (listed with the projected Conf. champion in my list) and 10 at-large teams (listed as At-Large 1, 2, ect) that make the Division I playoffs. Here are my selections and how I see the teams playing each other somewhat based on regionality as we know that the playoff committee will look to place ...
