An avid observer of the Southland Conference, Plotkin has covered the conference for College Sporting News since 2007.

  2. Countdown Continues for FCS Title Game Decision, UT-Arlington Next?

    The host of the Division I Football Championship game could be decided next Thursday when teams from Frisco and Chattanooga make their final presentations. Though the results will not be known until early March, next Thursday's presentation will be the final chance for the two bid teams to make their pitch.

  3. NCAA Shows Flexibility to Frisco, La. Schools Could Avoid Budget Cuts

    Richard Durett of ESPNDallas.com [url=http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/ncf/news/story?id=4906728]announced an NCAA decision[/url] in his most recent writing pertaining to the NCAA Division I Football Championship Game.

  4. Dates to Watch for Title Game, Former SWT HC DeBesse Joins Sam Staff

    According to correspondence with the Southland Conference office, the Frisco and Chattanooga bid groups will make their final pitch on Feb. 25 in Indianapolis to the Division I Football Championship Committee.

    That committee will then turn around and make a recommendation to the Division I Championships Cabinet. A final decision is expected in early March.
