Speaking of the Southland

An avid observer of the Southland Conference, Plotkin has covered the conference for College Sporting News since 2007.

In addition to his involvement with CSN, Plotkin maintains a vote in the Sports Network FCS Top 25 poll while also voting annually for the Walter Payton, Buck Buchanan and Eddie Robinson Awards.

    In the days since the UTSA announcement that they would be bypassing the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) for the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), even if that means they are an independent, there has been plenty of discussion.
