  2. A Schedule and an Arrest for TXST, Plus New SLC Assistants

    It has been awhile since my last blog, so we need to catch up on what has occurred in the time that has past. The most notable news has come from Texas State.

  3. Will Montana Leave FCS?

    In reading the following article, it sounds very possible. WIth selling out Washington-Grizzly Stadium virtually every game over the past 10+ years, I would say the lure of a higher revenues might be too much for the university to overlook. Of course, we all know the history of move-ups. Just in the Big Sky Conference, we see a couple successes and what I would consider failures.

  4. What's the difference between FCS and FBS?

    I received an email alert today of this Internet posting at "DifferenceBetween.net", which generally delineated the differences between the FCS and the FBS. Of course I went to the site (which is well done) and examined the article. In it I found many vague and often incomplete descriptions so I partially rewrote the article, attempting to keep the original intact and only inserting/replacing some things. Therefore it isn't perfect but I think it is more clear. What do you think? ...

    There’s been news around the Southern Conference involving quarterbacks, not all of it good.

    Miguel Starks, one of three quarterbacks who made an impression calling signals last fall for The Citadel, has been charged in a robbery in Charleston that allegedly occurred over the weekend. Starks generated 327 yards of total offense and five touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 38-28 upset of Furman in 2009.
