  1. 2013 Game of the Week List

In the always tough position of choosing FCS games of the week before the season begins I made a 2013 list. So many great games happening in the same week makes it even more difficult.

It is regrettable that some conferences were edged out by other games, notably the SWAC, Patriot League, Pioneer Football League and Northeast Conference. I also did not include any teams that are transitioning out of the FCS. These are games of teams competing for the NCAA Division I title. I noted ...

  2. Is What We've Expected about to Happen?

By this time tomorrow, it would appear, we will know the answer as to whether Appalachian State and Georgia Southern are leaving the Southern Conference, meaning those two FCS power football programs will be stepping up to FBS.

Both schools have scheduled news conferences for Wednesday regarding a "major announcement" and the "future of Eagle athletics." Multiple media reports indicate the likely announcement for both will be acceptance of an invitation to join ...
  3. Signing Day 2013!

  4. #1 North Dakota State vs. Sam Houston State, 2013 National Championship Game

Frisco, TX--I have arrived in the pressbox at FC Dallas Stadium. It is a cloudy day right now but the sun is supposed to come out by kickoff if the weather forecast is correct. It is 44 degrees right now with a high supposedly to be at 54 this afternoon.

This rematch as I stated before this is the same two schools to play as last year in this game but both have several differences that should in my opinion make this a closer contest that I believe won't be decided until the final ...
  5. NDSU Pep Rally National Championship Game Eve

I went to the pep rally for NDSU fans and alumni at Dr. Pepper Park, the home of a AA baseball team here in Frisco.

They expected 8000 fans and nearly 10,000 fans showed for the festivities. After last night, I think the NDSU fan population at the game today will be nearly 75% of FC Dallas Stadium.

Here are a few photos from the pep rally last night.
