  • College Sporting News National All-Stars, 11/14/2011

QB Nathan Dick of Central Arkansas, RBs Brock Jackolski of Stony Brook and Terrance West of Towson, DE Zack Nash of Sacramento State, and Youngstown State K David Brown have been selected as the College Sporting News All-Stars for the week ending November 13, 2011 in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. Dick and Jackolski are the first repeat All-Star honorees of 2011.

Each of the honorees are listed here with their achievements and their school, position, height, weight, class and hometown.

Nathan Dick, Central Arkansas, Quarterback, 6-4, 222, Allen, TX

Dick threw three second-half touchdowns and pass for a career-high 457 yards in a 23-22 non-conference victory over Texas State for Central Arkansas’ seventh consecutive win. He led the Bears on their game-winning drive in the final four minutes, completing passes of 16, 12, 12, 6 and 19 yards, the latter on fourth-and-8 from the Texas State 30. His 457-yard performance was the fourth-best in school history, while his 64 attempts was a school record. Dick threw touchdown passes of 14, 44 and 12 yards in leading UCA to 556 yards of total offense.

Brock Jackolski, Stony Brook, Runningback/Return Specialist, 5-10, 198, Sr., Shirley, NY

Jackolski set a Big South single-game record with five touchdowns and 30 points scored in Stony Brook’s record-setting 76-28 win over Gardner-Webb. He rushed for four touchdowns -- tying a single-game League record, and caught a TD pass while amassing 192 all-purpose yards. Jackolski returned the opening kickoff 78 yards and later scored from 1-yard out to give the Seawolves an early 7-0 lead. He added an 18-yard scoring run and 7-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter, and capped his day with touchdown runs of 53 and 30 yards in the fourth quarter.

Terrance West, Towson, Runningback, 5-11, 222, Fr., Baltimore, MD

West led the Tigers' offense to a 56-42 shootout win over New Hampshire by carrying the ball 23 times for 261 yards (both season-highs) and four touchdowns in the victory. West has rushed for 1,190 yards in nine games this season and leads the country with 25 touchdowns. His 2.7 touchdown/game average is currently better than Omar Cuff's league record of 2.3 touchdowns a game for Delaware in 15 games during the 2007 season.

Zack Nash, Sacramento State, Defensive End, 6-4, 260, Sr., Vacaville, CA

Nash matched his career highs with five sacks and six tackles-for-loss in the team's 24-9 win over Idaho State . Both stats tied his own school records which were set last year at Idaho State. During the game, Nash also became the school's career sack leader with 29.5 career sacks. As a team, the Hornets tied their Div. I-era record with 10 sacks. The game marked the first time since 1993 that the Hornets have held two opponents under 10 points in the same season.

David Brown, Youngstown State, Kicker, 5-10, 180, Jr., Ojai, CA

Brown had a career-high two field goals made, including the game winner as the Penguins upset top-ranked North Dakota State, 27-24. Brown made a 33-yard field goal in the first quarter and drilled a 30-yard kick in the third quarter which put YSU on top 27-24. That second field goal proved to be the difference in the game. Brown also made all three of his extra-point tries in the Fargodome, finishing with nine points.
