Seth Lobato, Northern Colorado, Quarterback, 6-5, 230, Junior, Eaton, CO
Lobato completed 24-of-38 passes for 418 yards and four touchdowns to lead Northern Colorado to a 42-34 victory over Weber State. Lobato’s 418 passing yards were the third-most in school history. Lobato threw TD passes of 65, 13, 15 and 35 yards. He also rushed for a 1-yard touchdown. Lobato helped the Bears to their first win over the Wildcats.
Gavin McCarney, Colgate, Quarterback, 6-2, 205, Senior, Jefferson Township, NJ
McCarney led Colgate to a rally for the Patriot League title as he directed the offense to three second-half touchdowns in a 35-24 victory at ranked Lehigh. He carried 24 times for 121 yards and three touchdowns, including a score that brought Colgate within 24-21 late in the third quarter and another that served as the game-winner with 9:15 to play in the contest. He led the Raiders on second-half scoring drives of 80, 94 and 62 yards as Colgate held the ball for 43:51. It was his fifth straight 100-yard rushing game, and McCarney also completed 13-of-21 passes for 180 yards to go over 300 yards of total offense. He leads the nation with 12.8 points per game and is second in the FCS in points responsible for, fourth in passing efficiency, seventh in total offense and 16th in rushing.
Dominique Williams, Wagner, Runningback, 5-9, 200, Junior, Bridgeton, NJ
The work of Williams enabled Wagner to post its seventh consecutive victory. The junior running back gained 224 yards from scrimmage and scored two touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 31-30 comeback victory over Patriot League member Holy Cross. Williams was both the Seahawks’ leading rusher and receiver in Week 11. He ran 23 times for 177 yards and caught five passes for 47 yards. Williams rushed for a five-yard score that gave Wagner a 14-3 lead with 3:48 remaining in the first half. After the visitors scored 24 unanswered points to take a 27-14 lead over the Seahawks, Williams helped Wagner work its way back. His 10-yard touchdown reception pulled Wagner within 30-24. The performance made Williams the first NEC rusher to reach the 1,000-yard plateau this season as his 1,064 yards are tops on the circuit.
Nick Sigmon, Liberty, Linebacker, 6-1, 240, Freshman, Roanoke, VA
Sigmon tallied nine tackles (eight solo), two tackles-for-loss, one forced fumble, one pass break-up and returned an interception 21 yards for a touchdown in leading the Flames to a 28-14 win over ranked Stony Brook. His pick six pushed Liberty's lead to 21-7 in the third quarter, and his forced fumble in the fourth stanza was returned for a score to seal the win. Sigmon helped limit Miguel Maysonet to a season-low 2.8 yards per rush, as well as hold the Seawolves to their second-fewest points scored in a Big South game.
Joey Harmon, Villanova, Linebacker, 6-1, 225, Sophomore, Pembroke Pines, FL
Harmon turned in six tackles and 2.5 sacks for a loss of seven yards to send the Wildcats past James Madison 35-20 for their second win over a ranked opponent this season. Two of the sophomore's sacks were secured in the end zone for a pair of safeties to help keep Villanova very much a part of the playoff picture.
