Central Arkansas gets the ball first in a sunny day in Cookeville, Tennessee.
This should be a good game but as I wrote in my column this week, I think the Bears will be able to win on the road this week over the Golden Eagles.
The Golden Eagles lose yards on a run play of first down and get a short pass on second down.
They have a 3rd & 8 but Zeigler catches it for a first down out to the UCA 48.
TTU now faces a 4th & 1 at the UCA 28. Urbano gets the first down and gets another run on the next play. UCA hits him late out of bounds.
The Golden Eagles have it at the 11 of UCA.
A short run by Urbano and an incompletion has TTU with a 3rd and 9 at the 10.
The 3rd down pass goes incomplete.
They will go for it on 4th down with 5:10 left and TTU will call their second time out.
Matthews catches the ball at the 1 yard line and they will have measure to see if it is a first down.
The ball comes up a little short and UCA takes over.
UCA runs up the middle to get a little space and it looks like the Bears will be going to Missoula next week to play Montana.
Dick hits Desmond Lewis with a 16 yard gain and TTU shows their frustation with a late hit out of bounds.
UCA has it out to the 36.
The Bears can't get the next first down so TTU uses their final time out to stop it with 1:42 left to play. UCA will have to punt from their own 45.
The punt sends TTU to start at their own 25.
Lamb completes a couple passes but the third play is intercepted by UCA to seal the deal.
One kneel down for Dick to seal the win for the Bears.
It is a final, Central Arkansas 34 Tennessee Tech 14.
Central Arkansas will advance to play #4 seeded Montana in Missoula next week. The Bears get their first DI playoff victory so they can celebrate for one night before preparing for the Grizzlies.
