FARGO, N.D.--I am in the Fargodome for the final quarterfinal game pitting the Mountain Hawks against the Bison. All the news is about the suspension of Ryan Spadola for his comments on his Twitter account.

Even without him, I think Chris Lum will be able to pass it against the Bison defense but the key will be if they can score touchdowns or field goals. NDSU's defense becomes very stingy againt their opponents inside the red zone.

The Bison offense I think will be able to run the ball against Lehigh. They seem to give up a number of points so a rather high scoring game might be the case today.

I think the near sellout crowd in the Fargodome will cause some problems for the Mountain Hawks as it tends to get loud in this building when full.

I like the Bison to prevail in this one as I predicted earlier this week. But we shall see as we are about 15 minutes from the opening kickoff.

    Lehigh won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. NDSU will get the opening kickoff.

    NDSU starts at their own 33.

    Cooper Wahlo, Jr with a big end around. NDSU into Lehigh territory at the Lehigh 43.

    NDSU however has a 3rd and 7 after a short run by DJ McNorton and an incomplete pass before that.

    Brock Jensen's pass on 3rd was nearly intercepted but Lehigh stopped NDSU and the Bison will punt. It is down at the 1 yard line.

    Lum gets the Mountain Hawks out to the 6 with a QB keeper to give a little breathing room.

    Lum throws two incompletions and Lehigh will have to punt.

    The punt is great as McNorton failed to field it and also NDSU was offsides.

    Lehigh will keep the ball with that foul to give Lehigh new life on this drive at their own 11.

    A 32 yard pass to Jake Drwal and another to him of seven has has Lehigh moving now. Currently at midfield.

    Lum has the Mountain Hawks still moving as they are at the NDSU 41 now with a 2nd & 6.

    Daniel Eaves picks off a tipped pass from Lum. NDSU ball at their own 38.

    We ahve 9:27 left in the 1st qtr.

    The very next play Warren Halloway catches a Jensen pass but he fumbles and Lehigh takes over a the NDSU 45.

    Matt Fitz gets a Lehigh first down to the NDSU 29.

    Lehigh, however, has a 3rd and 7 from the NDSU 26 now after a short Fitz run and an overthrow by Lum.

    Lehigh calls a timeout before this 3rd down play. We are currently at the 7:42 mark of the opening qtr with no score as of yet.

    Lum throws it incomplete as he got pressured.

    Lehigh is going for it from their own 27.

    The Mountain Hawks don't get it as Lum's pass is too high. NDSU takes over at their own 27.

    Sam Ojuri with a big run on the first play after the turnover on downs. NDSU out to the Lehigh 48.

    Middle linebacker for Lehigh Billy Boyko is injured on the next play and appears as if he can't put any weigh on his left leg. McNorton got 3 on the prior play.

    Jensen gets a pitch pass to McNorton for the first down to the 37 of Lehigh.

    NDSU faces a 3rd & 6 after a four yard run by Ojuri and an incomplete, tipped pass by Jensen.

    Halloway with a nice catch on the sidelines to get the Bison first down to the Lehigh 19.

    McNorton with five on a run on the next play but fumbles on the very next play. Lehigh takes over at the 12.

    The prior fumble is under video review. I really couldn't tell from my press box seat on this one. It seemed like McNorton was still moving forward and believe the play will stand as called.

    The play does stand. Lehigh's ball at their own 12. We have 3:54 left in the opening qtr.
