The departure of co-offensive coordinator Travis Bush from UTSA to Texas State is starting to yield some changes for the Bobcat team he left behind.
Joining Bush in leaving the TXST program is wide receiver Mishak Rivas. Rivas will not be heading to San Antonio, but instead closer to home with a move to Division II Texas A&M-Kingsville, according to Action 4 Sports.
In the story by Action 4 Sports, Rivas points to Bush's departure and the limited role for the wide receiver in the offense. Over two seasons, Rivas has caught 65 passes for 884 yards and seven touchdowns. This past year, his numbers dropped from 40 receptions to 25. Rivas also served in the kickoff return role, taking back 21 kicks for 480 yards.
Rivas is a very talented wide receiver. His success as a freshmen caught attention around the league and led many to believe there was plenty of accomplishments awaiting Rivas as he moved to his senior year.
Though no further departures are confirmed, the questions surrounding the Bobcat offense will certainly increase, especially as head coach Brad Wright looks to replace quarterback Bradley George with Tim Hawkins or another option.

Great read by David McCollum of the Conway Log-Cabin Democrat which focuses on 10 years of Clint Conque at Central Arkansas.
Conque, has led the program out of Division II and into the Football Championship Subdivision. In addition to appearances in the Division II playoffs, the 2008 edition of the team topped the Southland Conference standings.
Some of the notable players on the All-Conque team that is listed as part of the story include quarterback Nathan Brown, running back Nathan Grimes, tight end Marquez Branson and the team's current place-kicker Eddie Carmona.

Speaking of UCA, the Bears will be unveiling a new logo at the start of February. Or at the very least, that is what we believe this advertisement shown below that appeared on UCASports.com symbolizes.
