#5 Georgia Southern @ #1 North Dakota State, 2012

In just over an hour, the rematch will be seen in the Fargodome. A capacity crowd is again expected inside this facility and likely the sound will be the loudest it has been all season as well.

I expect a much closer game than what was seen last year with a 35-7 NDSU win.

The Eagle offense will be able to move the ball at times in this game, I beleive. The Georgia Southern defense is where I see the question marks.

Ball control will likely be in the minds of both teams and believe NDSU will likely try to run the ball a little more than in the past and not allow quarterback Brock Jensen to beat them with another interception return for a touchdown. But I feel NDSU will have to throw it a little bit to keep the Eagle defense offguard.

Like my preview earlier this week, I feel NDSU will pull this one out but will be close. This game likely will go to the final quarter and it will not be a 28 point win this year for the Bison.

I can't wait for the opening kickoff in this one.

    I am kind of surprised NDSU is stalling so much / being denied on offense. The GSU defense is better this year but NDSU better make some adjustments to move the ball better. Penalties have helped their O too much and they need to gain some chunks.

    This opening drive will be key to the outcome in my opinion.

    The NDSU kickoff is returned well out to their own 35.

    it was 14-7 NDSU in last year's game at the half and then the Bison rushing game pounded the Eagles en route to a 35-7 win... we'll see this year.

    1st & 10 at the GSU 35. McKinnon gets just three on the option keeper.

    2nd & 7 at the GSU 38. McKinnon keeps it again for four.

    3rd & 3 at the GSU 42. False start on GSU. Huge foul there.

    3rd & 8 at the GSU 37. McKinnon with a big play on a misdirection fake pitch for a 16 yard gain.

    1st & 10 at the NDSU 47. McKinnon gets 5 up the middle.

    2nd & 5 at the NDSU 42. False start on the Eagles.

    2nd & 10 at the NDSU 47. McKinnon hit hard and fumbles the ball. HUGE PLAY for the Bison.

    1st & 10 at the NDSU 41. Ojuri gets six on the run up the middle.

    2nd & 4 at the NDSU 47. Ojuri for a huge run up the middle and he takes it all the way for the NDSU touchdown--53 yard gain.

    PAT is good.

    NDSU takes their first lead.

    NDSU 16 GSU 13 with 10:42 left in the 3rd qtr.

    Expect the crowd to really be in the game now. Huge drive upcoming for the Eagles.

    The NDSU kickoff is taken at the goal line and the NDSU kick coverage was there. GSU will start at their own 15.

    1st & 10 at the GSU 15. Swope gets just two up the middle on the option dive.

    2nd & 8 at the GSU 17. Jonathan Bryant for two on the pitch.

    3rd & 6 at the GSU 19. Sack of the other qb Youyoute by Carton Littlejohn.

    But there is a roughing the kicker call on NDSU--huge call for both teams.

    2nd & 4 at the GSU 27. Swope for another dive for four and an Eagle first down.

    2nd & 7 at the GSU 34. Bryant for four.

    3rd & 3 at the GSU 37. Bryant is wide open on the pass play and he is all the way down to the NDSU 20.

    1st & 15 at the NDSU 25. The play clock wound down and GSU is forced to call a TO.

    That time out might cost the Eagles later as this game looks like it will go down to the wire.

    PAT is blocked but made its way through the uprights.

    Georgia Southern 20 North Dakota State 16 with 5:02 left in the 3rd qtr.

    That McKinnon is something special, another TD and his 7th straight 100 yard game

    Huge roughing the kicker call on NDSU to keep the Eagle drive going. NDSU would have had it deep in Eagle territory with the lead had that foul not occured.

    The NDSU offense now has to respond.
