GPI Once Again to Measure FCS for Playoffs

Rate this Entry
Finalized this week was the continued inclusion of the Gridiron Power Index (GPI) in the NCAA Division I playoff selection process. 2010 playoff selection for the highest level of NCAA championship football will once again have a provision for a "bridge" automatic qualification.

The Pioneer Football League has applied for an AQ and will follow the path towards the bridge. "We didn't get an outright AQ," said PFL commissioner Patty Viverito, "so we will do what we can to get it."

We've covered what the bridge is all about before but this time it is all about the PFL and the GPI (in a modified version) will be measuring.

The GPI will begin for 2010 after this weekend's games.
