The Southern Conference named its football players of the week today for the games played Saturday, October 8. Wofford’s Brenton Bersin was tabbed as the Special Teams Player of the Week, Georgia Southern’s Robert Brown was named Offensive Player of the Week, while Samford’s Alvin Hines earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. Chattanooga’s Terrell Robinson was selected as the Freshman of the Week.
