Another Roadblock For 'Nova

It’s already been a month since the April 12th deadline when Villanova was expected to vote on a jump from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) to the Big East conference, and it still doesn’t appear the school is any closer to making the necessary moves to supporting a Football Bowl Subdivision program.
Sources close to both the Big East and Villanova have told the Philadelphia Inquirer that a decision likely isn’t going to be made until at least June 1st, which would mean the Wildcats would not be able to join the Big East until 2015 because the NCAA mandates a 2-year transition period for moving up to the FBS.
