TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Indiana State has hired Mike Sanford as its head coach.

He was Utah's offensive coordinator in 2003 and 2004 on Urban Meyer's staff, then was UNLV head coach from 2005-09. He was the offensive coordinator at Louisville in 2010 and 2011.
