Illinois State head football coach Brock Spack announced the hiring of Eric Koehler (KAY-ler) as the new Redbird quarterbacks coach Thursday. Koehler comes to Illinois State, after serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at NCAA Division II Grand Valley State in 2012.
