Tuskegee University’s Department of Athletics Tuesday released its 2013 football schedule, and the list does not include its biggest rival, the Alabama State University Hornets, in the annual Turkey Day Classic matchup.
Tuskegee said it was inspired to make the change by the run of Winston Salem State in the 2012 season. The Golden Tigers believe the move will allow them more freedom to play further into the postseason by taking part in the NCAA Division II playoffs, if they become eligible.
