Tom McCarthy ’10 has shown a lot of patience since following his brother to New Haven to play football for Yale. An illness forced him to wait a year to begin his collegiate career, and the Chester, N.J. native had to sit out 2010 spring practices before taking over as team captain for last fall. He had to be patient again this summer as the National Football League lockout made him wait to sign a free agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons. It was worth it.
