The below memorandum was sent to College Sporting News by a member of the Florida A&M community via university president James H. Ammons, pertaining to the Legacy Bowl.

The Legacy Bowl, as reported by the Jaguar Journal in Baton Rouge, would pit the champions of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in a post-season bowl game in which the conferences would split an estimated $3M from ESPN.
