Hundreds of heroes have played for the Montana Grizzlies through the seasons, and Griz Nation lost one of the best on Friday when All-American Tim Bush died in a mining accident near Silverton, Idaho.

Bush was killed by a falling slab of rock about 8 a.m., according to officials at the Galena Mine, an underground silver operation.

A father to son Davon, who turns 1 on July 6, and due to be married in September, the former Griz standout was 29.
