Forget about team tendencies and favorite plays. Over the past few years, Grambling’s Rod Broadway and Jackson State’s Rick Comegy have spent so much time together, they probably know each other’s favorite musicians, restaurants and TV shows.

This weekend, the two football coaches meet again.

At 4 p.m. Saturday in Robinson Stadium, traditional Southwestern Athletic Conference heavyweights Grambling and Jackson State square off for the sixth time since 2007.

Two of those meetings came in the 2007 and ’08 championship games, with JSU winning the ’07 title and Grambling earning a measure of revenge the following year.

All told, Broadway’s Tigers are 4-1 against Comegy’s Tigers during that span.
