Jared Goff – №1 in the draft

ohio draftOhio State rewrote history of the NFL draft with three players, who were selected in the Top 10. The last year’s champions of the NCAA placed Joey Bosa (№3, San Diego), Ezekiel Elliott (№4, Dallas) and Eli Apple (№10, NY Giants) in the first hour and a half in Chicago’s selection.

It was expected that Los Angeles Rams fell on California’s quarterback Jared Goff, who became the second representative of the family, placed in the professional league (his father, Jerry played as a catcher in the MLB in the period between 1990 and 1996).

After Goff also expected, Philadelphia paid Cleveland a huge amount to take the second position. It’s all about another quarterback – Carson Wentz. He was the playmaker of North Dakota State, becoming only the fifth quarterback of second-division college, who is selected in the first round of the draft. Three of them have taken part in the Super Bowl match, two (Phil Simms and Joe Flack) have led their team to the title.

The downfall of the evening belonged to Leremi Tansil. Many people expected him to be elected under №3, but just several minutes before the start of the draft a video with him using drugs appeared on his Twitter account. According to Tansil – that was work of hackers. His number came down to №13, and eventually Miami took pity on him.
